K9 Friends

K9 Friends is a non-profit making, voluntary run organisation.

We are totally dependent on contributions from the general public. We are run by a 5 member committee; a chairperson, treasurer, office manager, kennel manager and sponsorship coordinator. All of these posts are unpaid. We have around 40 regular volunteers who help in the shelter and office and others who help in specific areas such as vet runs, education and outside fundraising events. K9 Friends relies on volunteers and always needs them!

K9 Friends is in operation to rescue and rehome stray and abandoned dogs.

We reunite lost dogs with their owners, or care for them until new homes can be found; giving them shelter and high standards of kenneling and veterinary care. We offer extra training and socialisation to those dogs who need it and detailed help and advice to new pet owners. We also endeavour to educate the public and to encourage a responsible dog-owning population in the UAE.
